“You don’t always get everything you want in a deal. If you go into something looking for ten things you specifically want – and this just really falls back into the first lesson which is ‘decide what you want’ – if you have ten things you need from a deal, the buyer probably has ten things they need. You have to meet in the middle and find things that you care most about and they most about, and where you can align them.”
