In this episode our host Alex Theuma is joined by John Collins, consultant and advisor to tech companies, who discusses if we have in fact reached peak content in the SaaS industry.
I think a lot of people just don’t have a strong strategy and figure out how they’re going to get traffic to that content, how they’re going to stand out amongst the noise. There is just so much stuff! And I always say as well, you’re not just competing with other B2B SaaS content, you’re competing for people’s attention.
Collins works with B2B clients to develop their content marketing and communications strategies. His clients range from fintech startups to online educators and are located in North America and Europe, and he is also an active angel investor in SaaS and media startups. Previously, Collins held the roles of Head of Content & Communications at Ramp, and Director of Content at Intercom.
In this episode, Collins shares:
- Lessons on building content machines at both Intercom and Ramp
- How we can win with content marketing going forward
- His thoughts on SaaS companies buying Communities/Media companies
- His take on SEO as a strategy – does it work?
- What’s next for him!
and more!
