Whether in life or business, ‘turning double figures’ marks a significant milestone. It’s gearing up for big school, a time to reflect, celebrate, and look ahead to the next chapter.

Since 2015 we’ve grown from a community-led blog and the first B2B SaaS podcast to local meetups, two global conferences, a thriving membership community, and tens of thousands of founders reached. Throughout it all, our goal has been clear: to give SaaS founders a place to connect, learn, and grow.

While we’re proud of what we’ve achieved, the ten year milestone has lit a fire in us. And this year, we’re making significant changes that will 10x the value of SaaStock for the SaaS community.

This post is both a celebration of the journey so far and a look forward to how we can help even more founders move their business forward in 2025 and beyond.

10 years supporting the SaaS community

2015: How it started

SaaScribe media blog page

Unlike many startups, SaaStock didn’t begin in a basement with some laptops and a few founders. Rather, our CEO Alex was working in telco sales when SaaS piqued his interest.

He spotted a clear gap in the market for neutral, non-vendor content. So, he created a community-driven blog and invited thought leaders to contribute.

With the community growing, he started The SaaS Revolution Show podcast, featuring Founders and CEOs that were leading the charge in SaaS. The podcast is still going strong, with almost a million downloads to date!

As Alex connected with more players in the SaaS industry, he realised that there was a clear need for human connections. He organised London SaaS Meetup and 120 people attended from across the UK.

2016: The first SaaStock Europe

Those early meetups demonstrated just how important meaningful connections are in this – and any – industry. Founders, entrepreneurs, and SaaS executives thrive when they connect with each other.

In 2016, Alex launched the first SaaStock Europe conference at the RDS in Dublin. 800 SaaS founders, leaders, and investors attended. Speakers included Des Traynor (Intercom), Christopher Janz (Point Nine Capital), and Gil Dibner (Angular Ventures).

2019: Introducing SaaStock Local

With the community growing, we looked for ways to provide more value to SaaS ecosystems around the world.

This global initiative has brought thousands of SaaS founders and leaders together for meetups in over 30 cities. From panels, to roundtables, workshops and networking, these events have provided support and insights for founders around the world.

A huge thank you to all of our Local Chapter Leaders, past and present for making these events possible!

2020: SaaStock Remote

Just as we were ready to scale SaaStock globally – the Covid-19 pandemic hit. In-person events weren’t possible and the conferencing industry around the world ground to a halt.

We had to pivot quickly and hosted SaaStock Remote to survive.

Over 2000 people registered online for speakers including: April Dunford (Founder, Ambient Strategy), Mark Roberge (Managing Director, Stage 2 Capital), and David Darmanin (CEO, Hotjar).

2021: Fostering the community with the SaaStock Founder Membership

Despite the success of SaaStock Remote, virtual events couldn’t replicate the value of getting together in-person. The focus shifted to content and education, while important, it’s networking and community that makes SaaStock special.

So in 2021, we launched the SaaStock Founder Membership (SFM) to foster that community and add year-round value, both in person and online.

Since then, we’ve hosted over 100 member events, travelled to three (soon to be four) stunning destinations for our annual retreats, and founders all over the world have made new connections, shared their challenges, and found solutions.

2022: The return of in person conferences

2022 marked the return of in-person events and we headed back to Dublin for SaaStock Europe.

3800 founders, leaders, and investors attended from all over the world–and the energy was unparalleled.

2023: Touch down in Austin for SaaStock USA

With events back in full swing, in 2023 we jumped across the pond for the first SaaStock USA

We chose Austin, Texas as our US home. Dubbed “The Silicon Hills,” it’s a hub of innovation and SaaS growth–topped with some of the best barbecue and an unbeatable live music scene.

We were welcomed by the Austin SaaS community. 800 attendees from companies including WP Engine, JasperAI, and Founderpath came to experience the US conference firsthand.
